JC man charged with molesting child

A Jefferson City man is charged with one count of first-degree child molestation for an incident with a child under the age of 12.

Court documents show Arthur Earl, 69, is believed to have committed the crime earlier this month at a residence on East Miller Street.

The mother of the child said Earl was the babysitter for the child.

As of Wednesday afternoon, Earl was being held on $150,000 bond in the Cole County Jail.JC man charged with molesting child
