Accidents leave three injured

Two Eldon women were injured in a two-vehicle accident at 1:50 p.m. Thursday on U.S. 54, west of Missouri 52, in Miller County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer, driven eastbound by Sara M. Sandfort, 51, Eldon, struck a 2000 Peterbilt, driven eastbound by Kevin B. Carmack, 45, Iberia, in the rear.

Sandfort and a passenger, Cynthia M. Gibbs, 52, Eldon were taken to Lake Regional Hospital.

Everyone was wearing seat belts.

A Belle woman was injured in a one-car accident at 4:20 a.m. Friday on Missouri 28, west of Belle, in Maries County.

The patrol reported a 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier, driven westbound by Tammy R. Riley, 36, failed to negotiate a curve and ran off the left side of the road, overturning.

Riley sought her own treatment.

She was wearing a seat belt.
