A Jefferson City man has been charged in connection with a child sex investigation.
Cardell T. Roberts, 48, is charged with first-degree child molestation, which court records allege occurred in 2009.
He is also charged with one count of second-degree statutory, which court records allege it occurred in 2010.
The victim in both cases, regardless of if it's the same person, is under the age of 14.
A Cole County grand jury indictment found there was enough evidence in this case to send it on to the circuit courts for possible trial. The probable cause statement, which gives details of the investigation, was suppressed.
