A long line of severe thunderstorms rolled through Mid-Missouri overnight, prompting thunderstorm warnings to be issued around midnight in multiple counties stretching from the Lake of the Ozarks into central and northeast Missouri to Quincy, Illinois.

Also during the midnight hour, Callaway Electric Cooperative reported 1,539 customers, or 11.88 percent of the coop's total customers, had no power.
The City of Fulton, on its own municipal power system, also experienced numerous power outages, according to National Weather Service spotters.
Boone County Emergency Management officials reported at 12:05 a.m. on Twitter that approximately 7,000 customers were without power in Columbia and the surrounding Boone Electric Cooperative service area.

Co-Mo Electric Cooperative reported 1,234 customers, or 3.94 percent of its total customers, were out. Of those, 684 were located in the Boonville area and 219 in the Tipton area.
