1 wounded in shooting at Missouri post office

HALE, Mo. (AP) - The Missouri Highway Patrol is helping investigate a shooting at a post office in a small northwestern town.

KMBC-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1oajOed ) the shooting happened Wednesday afternoon in the Carroll County town of Hale, about 75 miles northeast of Kansas City.

A spokeswoman for the U.S. Postal Inspection Service said one person was being treated for a gunshot wound. Another person was taken into custody.

No other details were immediately released. The spokeswoman did not have any information on what may have led to the shooting.
