Girls Basketball: Calvary 35, Wellsville-Middletown 25

The Calvary Lutheran Lady Lions got a huge game from Kara Wehmeyer while posting a 35-25 win against Wellsville-Middletown on Friday night.

Wehmeyer racked up 11 points, 12 rebounds, seven steals and three assists in the victory.

Becca Thompson chipped in with 10 points for the Lady Lions (7-8), while Sam Gunn had 10 rebounds.

Wellsville-Middletown led 10-9 after one quarter, but Calvary came back to lead 18-15 at halftime. The Lady Lions’ lead was 31-23 after three quarters and they outscored the Lady Tigers 4-2 in the fourth quarter.

Calvary will host Iberia at 6 p.m. Thursday.
