BOLIVAR - Helias shot 75 percent from the field and placed four players in double figures as the Crusaders cruised to a 79-40 win against Odessa in the first round of the Bolivar Tournament on Wednesday night.
Isiah Sykes poured in a game-high 24 points while Hale Hentges added 15 points to lead Helias, which was 9-of-21 from the 3-point line. Chase Bexten chipped in with 13 points and Adam Bax finished with 10 to help pace the Crusaders.
Helias led 21-10 after the first quarter, 34-19 at halftime, and took a 59-30 advantage into the final period.
The Crusaders (13-3) will play West Plains at 7 p.m. Friday in a semifinal game.
The Helias junior varsity team also rolled to a 53-33 win against Odessa on Wednesday night.
Weston Porter scored 17 points and Brad Kemna finished with 12 to lead the Crusaders (7-3).
