Two men face charges after being hurt in accidents

A Jefferson City man was cited for several traffic violations after being seriously hurt in a one-vehicle accident Sunday night in Cole County.

Missouri Highway Patrol reports show William Quehl, 45, was cited for DWI, driving while revoked, failure to drive on the right half of the road, careless and imprudent driving resulting in an accident and not wearing a seat belt.

The accident occurred at 7:45 p.m. on Lisletown Road, just south of River Front Drive.

Quehl went off the road and struck a tree.

A Belle man was cited for several traffic violations after a one-vehicle crash Sunday night in Maries County.

Patrol reports show James Snyder, 31, was cited for second-degree assault, failure to drive on the right half of the road resulting in a crash, no insurance, failure to display a valid license plate and failure to wear a seat belt.

The crash occurred at 8:36 p.m. on Missouri 42, three miles west of Belle.

Snyder ran off the right side of the road and struck a fence and a tree. He was partially ejected from the vehicle and was treated for serious injuries.

A passenger, Justin Maxwell, 20, Chamois, also was treated for serious injuries. He was not wearing a seat belt.

A Freeburg man was treated for moderate injuries after a one-vehicle accident Monday morning.

Patrol reports show Tyler Fick, 21, was on U.S. 63, one mile south of Freeburg, when the accident occurred around 8:50 a.m.

Fick swerved to avoid an oncoming vehicle that had crossed the center line.

He went off the right side of the road, overcorrected, returned to the road, then crossed the center line again, traveling off the left side of the road and finally striking a tree and fence before overturning.

Fick was wearing a seat belt.
