HOUSTON (AP) - Shoni Schimmel had 25 points and eight rebounds as No. 5 Louisville pulled away in the second half for a 93-52 win over Houston on Tuesday night to extend the Cardinals' win streak to 12 games.
Schimmel was 9 of 14 shooting, including 7 of 11 from behind the 3-point line as the Cardinals (19-1, 7-0 American) shot 54 percent from the field, including hitting 11 of 21 from behind the arc.
Asia Taylor added 16 points, Bria Smith had 13 points, eight assists and seven rebounds and Emmonnie Henderson chipped in 14 points.
Yasmeen Thompson had 10 points and eight rebounds, and Marche' Amerson and Demetria Foreman each added 10 points for the Cougars (4-14, 0-7), who shot 30 percent from the field and committed 25 turnovers in losing its seventh straight.
OKLAHOMA 75, No. 20 IOWA STATE 54
AMES, Iowa (AP) - Aaryn Ellenberg drained a 3-pointer to start a 15-2 run in the second half that broke open a tight game and sent Oklahoma to its first win in Ames since 2008, pounding Iowa State.
The win avenged an overtime loss to the then 14th-ranked Cyclones Jan. 5 at Oklahoma.
Ellenberg drained four 3-pointers en route to 22 points and eight rebounds. She scored 10 in the breakaway run deep in the second half, and also guarded Iowa State's Jadda Buckley (who went off for a career-high 29 on Jan. 5), holding her scoreless.
Nicole Griffin scored 12 and Sharane Campbell 10 with nine rebounds for the Sooners (12-7, 3-3 Big 12). Oklahoma outscored Iowa State 36-22 in the paint.
The Cyclones (14-4, 3-4), who have lost their last four, were led by Nikki Moody's 18 points. Hallie Christofferson fouled out with 15 points.
