Iberia gets past St. Elizabeth

IBERIA - The Iberia Rangers claimed a 54-22 win against St. Elizabeth in the first round of the Iberia Tournament on Monday night.

The Rangers led 17-2 after the first quarter, 30-6 at halftime, and took a 46-14 advantage into the final period.

Darrien Dickey scored a game-high 12 points, while Riley Halley added 10 to lead Iberia.

Braydon Holtmeyer and Brian Wilde both scored eight points to pace St. Elizabeth (3-11).

The Hornets will play the loser of the Vienna-Crocker game at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
