Your Opinion: Questions on gas prices

Dear Editor:

On page A4 of the Jan. 10 News Tribune in the commodities section on fuels, it reported the price of oil ended Thursday at the lowest level in eight months, as trading worried about rising crude supplies and falling demand.

Crude oil has dropped about $7-8 a barrel but gas is still $2.99 a gallon.

Why haven't gas prices in Jefferson City fallen from $2.99 to the eight-month-ago level?

In July 2013 it was $2.72 a gallon at the Lake. I think we deserve an explanation.
