Kander plugs The Missouri Channel website

Secretary of State Jason Kander has invited Missourians to follow the General Assembly's work throughout the 2014 legislative session at www.themissourichannel.com.

Launched by Kander shortly after he took office as secretary of state in 2013, The Missouri Channel increases the transparency and accessibility of state government by making recordings of legislative debate available online.

"With the 2014 legislative session upon us, The Missouri Channel provides an important opportunity for Missourians to listen in as our legislature debates key issues," Kander said. "Whether you want to conduct research on a particular bill or simply learn more about how our government operates, The Missouri Channel is a valuable resource accessible to anyone at any time."

Debate from the General Assembly's opening day of session on Jan. 8 is already available online, along with recordings from the 2013 regular and special sessions. The website will be updated regularly with additional recordings until the Legislature adjourns May 16.
