PITTSBURGH (AP) - Kayla McBride and Jewell Loyd scored 20 points apiece to lead No. 2 Notre Dame to a 109-66 victory over Pittsburgh on Thursday night.
The Fighting Irish (16-0, 4-0 Atlantic Coast Conference) had five players score in double figures. Natalie Achonwa had 14 points, reserve Michaela Mabrey scored 13 and Taya Reimer had 10.
Brianna Kiesel led the Panthers with 20 points on 5-of-12 shooting. The junior guard made all eight of her free-throw attempts and converted 2 of 3 attempts from beyond the arc.
Marquel Davis added 10 points for Pitt (9-9, 1-3).
The Irish grabbed control with a tiebreaking 12-0 run early in the first half and led 54-25 at the break. The advantage ballooned to as many as 45 points in the second half.
NO. 3 DUKE 90, VIRGINIA 55
DURHAM, N.C. (AP) - Tricia Liston scored 21 points and tied her career high with 12 rebounds, powering Duke to the runaway victory.
The Blue Devils had five players score in double figures in their first game since Chelsea Gray broke her right kneecap Sunday against Boston College, sidelining the senior guard for the rest of the season. Gray dislocated the same kneecap last season, keeping her out of the ACC and NCAA tournaments.
Elizabeth Williams had 17 points, seven rebounds and six blocked shots for Duke (17-1, 4-0 Atlantic Coast Conference), which beat Virginia for the 21st straight time. Richa Jackson finished with 16 points.
Faith Randolph and Lexie Gerson had 13 points apiece for Virginia (8-9, 1-3), coached by Duke alumna and former Blue Devils assistant Joanne Boyle.
NO. 6 MARYLAND 77, SYRACUSE 62
COLLEGE PARK, Md. (AP) - Alyssa Thomas had 19 points and 11 rebounds for her 14th double-double of the season, and Maryland extended its winning streak to 13 games.
Although Thomas led the way, the Terrapins (15-1, 3-0 Atlantic Coast Conference) received 44 points from their reserves. That included a career-high 18 by 6-foot-3 freshman center Brionna Jones, who also grabbed 10 rebounds.
After letting a 19-point lead shrink to 10 with 14:41 remaining, Maryland used a 13-3 run over the next three minutes to go up 61-41.
Brianna Butler scored 14 for Syracuse (12-5, 1-3), which lost for the fourth time in five games.
NO. 25 TEXAS A&M 67, NO. 8 SOUTH CAROLINA 65, OT
COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) - Karla Gilbert scored Texas A&M's first two baskets of overtime in heavy traffic in the paint, and Jordan Jones had a pivotal steal and layup to help the Aggies get the big win.
A&M had a big lead early on, but South Carolina's Tiffany Mitchell banked in a 3-pointer in the final seconds of regulation, tying it at 56.
Four Aggies scored in double figures, with Courtney Walker's 18 points leading the way. Jones had four steals, including the big play that gave A&M a 63-58 lead in overtime.
Aleighsa Welch had 20 points for South Carolina (16-2, 4-1 Southeastern Conference).
A&M (14-4, 4-0) led 34-17 at halftime and appeared en route to a surprisingly easy victory. But the Gamecocks roared back, outscoring the Aggies 39-22 in the second half.
NO. 9 NORTH CAROLINA 78, CLEMSON 55
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) - Diamond DeShields scored 24 points to lead North Carolina to its 10th win in 11 games.
Allisha Gray added 16 points for the Tar Heels (15-3, 3-1 Atlantic Coast Conference), who shot 55 percent from the floor.
Stephanie Mavunga had 10 points as North Carolina beat Clemson for the 20th time in the past 21 meetings.
The Tar Heels overcame an early 11-point deficit with a 25-4 run in the first half. DeShields scored 12 points during the spurt.
North Carolina led 38-26 at halftime and then scored the first 10 points of the second half to pull away.
Nikki Dixon scored 21 points for Clemson (9-9, 1-3), which shot 39 percent from the floor.
NO. 12 TENNESSEE 67, MISSISSIPPI STATE 63
STARKVILLE, Miss. (AP) - Ariel Massengale and Bashaara Graves scored 13 points apiece, and Tennessee survived a tough challenge from Mississippi State.
Tennessee (14-3, 3-2 Southeastern Conference) has won all 35 games in the series against Mississippi State (14-4, 1-3), but this one was a challenge.
The Lady Vols led 26-23 at halftime and never trailed in the second half. But the Bulldogs cut the lead to 64-61 on Breanna Richardson's free throws with 26.4 seconds left.
Tennessee got a break on the ensuing possession when Mississippi State's Ketara Chapel committed a foul before the ball was thrown inbounds. Candace Foster made 1 of 2 free throws to put the Lady Vols up 65-61.
Tennessee shot 49 percent (24 of 49) from the field, but had 22 turnovers.
NO. 14 LSU 87, MISSOURI 68
COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) - Jeanne Kennedy scored 30 points to power LSU to its fifth win in the last six games.
The Lady Tigers (14-3, 3-1 Southeastern Conference) shot 50 percent from the field, including a 13-for-19 night from 3-point range. Theresa Plaisance added 15 points and seven rebounds, and Anne Pedersen had 13 points.
Brianna Kulas had 30 points for Missouri (13-5, 2-3), which went 11 for 28 from beyond the arc. Jordan Frericks added 11 points and 11 rebounds, and Morgan Stock also scored 11.
Missouri jumped out to a 12-2 lead, but LSU had a 42-40 advantage at halftime. The Lady Tigers then pulled away in the second half.
NO. 16 PENN STATE 66, OHIO STATE 42
STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (AP) - Maggie Lucas scored 18 points and Penn State used its tough defense to get the victory.
Lucas also had five rebounds and five assists. Ariel Edwards added 13 points and 10 rebounds for the Lady Lions.
Penn State (12-4, 3-1 Big Ten) shot just 35 percent (25 for 72) from the field, but held the Buckeyes to 29.6 percent shooting (16 of 54). Ohio State also had 22 turnovers.
Ameryst Alston scored 12 points for Ohio State (12-8, 2-2), and Ashley Adams added eight points and 10 rebounds.
NO. 18 NEBRASKA 88, MINNESOTA 85, OT
LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - Jordan Hooper had 18 points to become the fourth Nebraska player to reach 2,000 for her career, and the Cornhuskers rallied for the win.
Hooper was 7 for 24 from the field and 2 for 3 at the line, boosting her total at Nebraska to 2,008 points. She also had 10 rebounds.
Rachel Theriot scored a career-high 33 points for the Cornhuskers (13-3, 3-1 Big Ten). Emily Cady added 23 points and 13 rebounds.
Rachel Banham made a tying 3-pointer for Minnesota (12-6, 1-3) in the final seconds of regulation. Banham finished with 33 points.
Theriot hit a pair of free throws with 15 seconds left in overtime, helping Nebraska hold on for the win. She also had nine assists.
NO. 20 NORTH CAROLINA STATE 80, NO. 17 FLORIDA STATE 57
RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - Markeisha Gatling scored 20 points on 8-for-8 shooting, leading North Carolina State to the win.
Kody Burke had 16 points and 10 rebounds for her 14th career double-double. Myisha Goodwin-Coleman made four 3-pointers for the Wolfpack (16-2, 3-1 Atlantic Coast Conference), and reserve Lakeesa Daniel had 13 points.
The Seminoles (14-3, 2-2) scored six straight points early in the second half to close to 42-34. NC State answered with a 10-3 run.
Natasha Howard had 14 points and 10 rebounds for FSU.
NO. 24 VANDERBILT 80, MISSISSIPPI 74
OXFORD, Miss. (AP) - Christina Foggie scored 28 points, helping Vanderbilt rally for the road win.
Vanderbilt (15-3, 4-1 Southeastern Conference) outscored Ole Miss 43-36 in the second half.
A 3-pointer from Valencia McFarland cut the Vanderbilt lead to 70-67 with 3:32 left, but the Commodores responded with an 8-1 run.
Jasmine Lister had 17 points for Vanderbilt and Morgan Batey added 11.
McFarland led Ole Miss (9-9, 0-4) with a career-high 28 points. Tia Faleru added 20 points.
