Boys Basketball: Webster Groves 69, Jefferson City 62

JOPLIN — Webster Groves rarely loses in the Kaminsky Classic.

The Statesmen proved it again Friday with a 69-62 semifinal victory against Jefferson City on Friday night.

Webster Groves will seek its ninth Kaminsky Classic title and third in a row today. Jefferson City (6-6) will play a third-place game at 12:30 p.m.

O.G. Anunoby poured in a game-high 33 points and collected 11 rebounds for the Jays, but it wasn’t enough. Lucas Theroff added 11 points.

Sam Craig paced Webster Groves with 27 points.

Webster Groves led 17-13 after one quarer, 37-24 at halftime and 50-43 after three quarters.
