Boys Basketball: Pacific 79, Linn 51

OWENSVILLE - The Linn Wildcats stayed with top-seeded Pacific for much of the first three quarters Friday before the Tigers pulled away to a 79-51 victory in the semifinals of the Owensville Tournament.

Pacific led 19-8 after one quarter before Linn cut the deficit to 34-25 at the half. It was 55-42 in favor of Pacific after three quarters.

Sam Vogel finished with 19 points for Linn (5-3), while Jessie Wiggins added 13. Linn will play in the third-place game at 5:30 p.m. today.

Cullen VanLeer had 33 points to pace Pacific, which will play for the title at 7 p.m. today.
