Two finalists tabbed for Columbia College post

Two finalists have been named for the position of president at Columbia College.

Scott Dalrymple, dean of the School of Liberal Arts at Excelsior College, Albany, N.Y., and Randall Hanna, chancellor of the Florida College System, Tallahassee, Fla. were selected by the search committee.

Both candidates will visit the campus in St. Louis and will spend a second day meeting with constituents including trustees, administrative council members, students, staff, faculty and community members in Columbia.

The candidates also will meet with staff, faculty and students at nationwide campuses through a live stream of the forums.

Dalrymple has worked in higher education for 15 years as a tenured professor, department chair, program director and dean. He has a doctorate degree in English and a master's degree in business administration and English. He has served in his current position since 2010 and previously served as tenured chair and associate professor at Hartwick College in New York.

Hanna has worked in higher education for 20 years as a trustee, commission chair, adjunct instructor and chancellor. He received a juris doctorate from Florida State University and a master's degree in business administration from Emory University. He has served in his current position since 2011.
