Time to hit Missouri's slopes

Fresh powder means it's time to hit the slopes. Hidden Valley Ski Resort near St. Louis and Snow Creek Ski Resort near Kansas City have had their snow makers going full blast to kick off a skiing and tubing season that runs through the end of February.

Hidden Valley offers more than 30 acres of ski terrain for all experience levels. The resort is also home to the Polar Plunge Tubing Park, which includes a 1,200-foot-long slope.

Snow Creek's ski and snowboard trails sit on a 300-foot vertical drop. Tornado Alley, the resort's tube park, includes a 700-foot-long slope with five tubing lanes.

Both resorts offer ski lessons, as well as discount prices for large groups, college students and military members.
