Falcons rally to down Fatima in boys basketball

WESTPHALIA, Mo. - The Blair Oaks Falcons rallied Saturday afternoon to take a 69-67 decision from the Fatima Comets.

Blair Oaks led for much of the first three quarters. The Falcons led 19-16 after one quarter, 37-28 at intermission and 57-45 after three quarters. But Fatima went on an 18-2 run spanning the third and fourth quarters to take a 65-61 advantage before Blair Oaks came back to get the victory.

Kory Franks led three Falcons in double figures with 14 points. Logan Bax added 12, while Ryan Wilbers totaled 10. Blair Oaks (8-2) is back in action Tuesday at home against Harrisburg.

Zach Buscher totaled a game-high 18 points for Fatima. Austin Schubert added 14, while Ross Dickneite totaled 12 for the Comets (7-2), slated to host Southern Boone on Tuesday.

In Saturday's JV game, Blair Oaks was a 58-52 winner against Fatima. C.J. Closser had 12 points to lead the Falcons (3-1), while Owen Luebbering added 10.
