Tuscumbia boys in title game

After win Thursday

ELDON, Mo. — The Tuscumbia Lions will be playing for a district championship.

Third-seeded Tuscumbia routed second-seeded Hermitage 74-54 on Thursday night in the Class 1 District 6 Tournament semifinals.

Tuscumbia (16-11) will face top-seeded Macks Creek (21-5) for the title at 7:30 p.m. today.

Zane Humphreys scored 18 points and pulled down 10 points for the winners, while Wyatt Ahart chipped in with 16, Nick Grimwood had 14 and Orrie Patterson added 13.

The Tuscumbia-Macks Creek winner advances to the sectional against the District 5 champion Tuesday night at Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar.
