A line of teething toys that pose a choking hazard to infants, along with children's shoes and jackets, are among this week's recalled consumer products.

TEETHING TOYS
DETAILS: Go Gaga Squeeze & Teethe Coco the Monkey teething toys. This squeaking toy is made of soft orange rubber and is shaped like a monkey. "Infantino" is marked on the back toward the rear and model number 206-647 is marked on the inside of the rear left leg. They were sold at Target stores nationwide and online from December 2012 through January 2014.
WHY: The tail of the monkey can pose a choking hazard to young children.
INCIDENTS: Seven reports of infants choking or gagging on the monkey's tail. No injuries have been reported.

FOOD DEHYDRATORS
DETAILS: LEM 5-tray dehydrators with digital timers. They are model number 1009 with serial numbers between 20110506 and 20121008. They were previously recalled and repaired as part of a May 2013 recall. The dehydrators are gray and are made of plastic and metal. The model and serial numbers are located on a label on the back panel. LEM is embossed on the top of the unit, which has a panel with the digital timer, the on/off switch and a temperature control knob. The UPC code 734494910094 is on the bottom of the packaging. Only dehydrators within the serial number range between 20110506 and 20121008 and with a sticker on the back panel stating "Read Manual Before Operating" are included in this recall. They were sold from June 2011 through December 2013.
WHY: Damaged wiring in the food dehydrators can come into contact with a metal bracket inside the machine, posing a shock hazard.
INCIDENTS: Nine reports of electrical shorts, including one report of sparks causing minor damage to the surrounding countertop and carpet. No injuries have been reported.
HOW MANY: About 3,000 in the U.S and 24 in Canada. This product was previously recalled in May 2013 for a fire hazard.

LED FLASHLIGHTS
DETAILS: Lucent Ace Manufacturing LED flashlights with hand straps. The 3 ½-inch tall flashlights were sold at Academy Sports + Outdoors stores from October 2013 to November 2013. They were sold in black, red, green and blue and have style number FCAACE6033 printed on the packaging.
WHY: The battery can short and cause the flashlight's canister to rupture, posing a burn hazard to the consumer.
INCIDENTS: One report of a flashlight canister rupturing, but no injuries reporting.
HOW MANY: About 3,000.

SEWN CORDS
DETAILS: Sterling Rope sewn cord edge restraints, sewn eyes and sewn loops. This recall involves four models of Sterling Rope's sewn cords which include the 8mm Aztek (AZ) Sewn Bound Loop Prusik, Aztek (AZ) Elite 8mm Edge Restraint, 8mm PER Sewn Eye and the 8mm Accessory Cord Sewn Eye. The product number and lot number are printed on the barcode label attached to the Care, Use and Retirement document, which comes with every product. The lot number is also printed on the shrink tube label on the sewn portion of the Prusik, edge restraint or sewn eye. They were sold at Sterling Rope dealers from January 2013 through January 2014. WHY: Sewn cords break at a lower weight than published weight values, posing a fall hazard.

GIRL'S JACKETS
DETAILS: U.S. Polo Assn. girl's jackets with the year 1890 and crossed polo mallets on the jacket's upper right exterior and a silhouette of two polo players and the initials USPA on the jacket's upper left exterior. Recalled style numbers include: U274-200 for sizes 4-6 and U274-300 for sizes 7-16. They were sold at Burlington Coat Factory, Kids Stop, and Cookie's Department Stores from August 2013 to October 2013.
WHY: The jackets have a band of material at the neck that can pose a strangulation hazard to young children.
INCIDENTS: None reported.

CHILDREN'S SHOES
DETAILS: Coleman Runestone Style children's shoes. They were sold in black with gray mesh fabric panels on the side of the shoe with a green "Coleman" logo name and lantern graphic on the tongue. The black shoestrings on the shoes are threaded through green fabric tabs on the top of the shoe. A label located on the inside of tongue of the shoes identifies the style as Runestone. They were sold at Big 5 Sporting Goods retail stores nationally from January 2013 through December 2013.
WHY: The metal rivets surrounding the holes where the shoestring is secured on the shoes can have sharp edges, posing a laceration hazard.
INCIDENTS: One report of an adult who scratched or cut his finger. No medical attention was required.
