Eugene rolls past Eldon

EUGENE — The Eugene Eagles picked up victory No. 21 of the season Wednesday night with an 88-38 win against the Eldon Mustangs.

The Eagles led 27-13 after one quarter and 50-27 at the half. Eugene blew the game open in the third quarter, outscoring Eldon 30-9 to take an 80-36 advantage into the final period.

Drew Geritz led four Eagles in double figures with 21 points. Cody Shaw added 19, while Chase Dickerson totaled 18 and Tyler Kempker chipped in with 13.

Gavin Henderson finished with 13 points for Eldon.

Eugene (21-1) will play Friday at South Callaway.

In Wednesday’s junior varsity game, Eugene was a 62-30 winner.
