Eastern Mo. man charged with fatally stabbing 2

JONESBURG, Mo. (AP) — A 23-year-old eastern Missouri man is charged with stabbing two people to death and nearly killing two others in what police say is a domestic dispute.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch (http://bit.ly/1nCfpQb) reports a man called 911 just before 8 p.m. Friday and said he stabbed his wife and killed several other people at a home south of Jonesburg.

Warren County deputies found a 22-year-old Montgomery City woman and 29-year-old Jonesburg dead from stab wounds. A 27-year-old woman and 8-year-old boy were found alive and flown to an area hospital, where they were in critical condition Saturday.

Shawn M. Kavanagh of Bellflower was charged Saturday with two counts of first-degree murder, domestic assault, assault, armed criminal action and burglary.

He was being held without bond in Warren County jail.
