Boys Basketball: Versailles 68, Blair Oaks 67

VERSAILLES, Mo. - The Blair Oaks Falcons fell a little short as Versailles claimed a 68-67 overtime victory in a Tri-County Conference matchup Friday.

Versallies jumped out to a 15-13 lead after the first quarter, but Blair Oaks rallied to take a 34-30 advantage at intermission. The Tigers retook a 47-43 edge entering the fourth quarter before the Falcons tied the game at 59 to end regulation.

Chandler Haxton scored 16 points, while Haydn Lock and Kory Franks both chipped in with 14 to lead Blair Oaks. Logan Bax finished with 10 points to help pace the Falcons (18-5, 4-1), who travel to California on Tuesday.

The Blair Oaks junior varsity team rolled to a 90-49 win against Versailles.

Adam Schell led four Falcons in double figures with 24 points. Cody Alexander finished with 14 points, while Jordan Hair added 12 and Owen Luebbering chipped in with 10 to help pace Blair Oaks (12-5).

In the freshman game, Versailles came away with a 42-40 win. Kade Franks tallied 10 points to lead Blair Oaks (8-11).
