Girls Basketball: Fatima 83, Tuscumbia 57

WESTPHALIA, Mo. — Fatima outscored Tuscumbia 24-8 in the second quarter to spark the Lady Comets to an 83-57 win against the Lady Lions on Tuesday.

Fatima held a slim 20-18 lead after one quarter, but the edge was 44-26 at the break. The Lady Comets’ lead was 69-43 after three periods.

Kate Massman was one of four Lady Comets in double figures, as she pumped in 22 points. Annie Bock added 16, Morgan Brandt had 15 and Sammey Bunch chipped in with 10.

Tempary Gunter paced the Lady Lions with 23 points, while Kendra Vaughan added 17.

Tuscumbia (17-4) travels Thursday to Eugene.

Fatima (15-5) will play Thursday at Chamois.
