Boys Basketball: Eugene 50, Fatima 34

WESTPHALIA, Mo. — A two-point game midway through the fourth quarter, Eugene pulled away late for a 50-34 victory against Fatima on Tuesday night.

Eugene led 11-4 after one quarter, 21-17 at halftime and 31-27 after three stanzas. Fatima pulled within a basket with 3:30 to play before the Eagles hit a 3-pointer and used free throws the rest of the way to seal the deal.

Tom Zeilman paced the Comets with 12 points.

Fatima (14-8) travels Friday to Russellville.

Eugene (19-1) hosts Tuscumbia on Friday.
