Jays JV wins wrestling tournament

COLUMBIA - The Jefferson City Jays won the Hickman JV Tournament on Saturday.

Jefferson City topped the 10-team field with 216 points. Rockwood-Summit came in second with 176 points, Pleasant Hill was third with 166, C.B.C. took fourth with 123 and Helias placed fifth with 120.

Taking first for the Jays were Jacob Labella at 106 pounds, Casey Bax at 152, Rashaun Woods at 170 and Ryan Mohlman at 285.

Taking second for the Jays was Jacob Tanner at 113, Charlie Kusick at 126 and Brice Gaines at 160.

Matt Lawson took third at 195.

The tournament title wrapped up the season for the Jays' JV team.
