Allied Waste Services, Jefferson City's solid waste contractor, has advised that residential trash and recycling collection was suspended in Jefferson City on Wednesday due to inclement weather.
Allied Waste will focus on trash collections inside Jefferson City the remainder of this week. Tuesday's residential trash collection routes will begin running on Thursday. Allied will continue running residential trash routes as they complete them through Saturday. Customers are asked to leave their trash carts at the curb this week until their trash is collected. Recycling will not be picked up this week.
Weather permitting, all routes will return to normal schedules next week.
