The annual Missouri Governor's Prayer Breakfast is Jan. 7 at Capitol Plaza Hotel in Jefferson City. Featured speaker is Les Steckel, president and CEO of Fellowship of Christian Athletes and a veteran NFL coach.
In addition to the guest speaker the breakfast will feature prayers, scripture readings and special music performed by the Boonville High School Chamber Choir.
Tickets are $30 per seat or $300 per table and may be purchased online at www.missourigpb.com. Seating on the morning of the event will begin at 7:10 a.m. with breakfast at 7:30 a.m. ending at 9 a.m.
Proceeds from the event will support the Governor's Student Leadership Forum on Faith and Values.
The Missouri Governor's Prayer Breakfast was established in the 1950's and is an annual observance welcoming participants from around the state at the beginning of the General Assembly legislative session.
