Falcons place Moore on IR

Former Missouri Tiger

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. - The Atlanta Falcons have placed safety William Moore on injured reserve with a shoulder injury.

The move leaves the team without one of its defensive leaders for its crucial game against Carolina to decide the NFC South.

Moore, a former Missouri Tiger, missed seven games earlier in the season while on injured reserve-designated to return with another shoulder injury. He was knocked out of last week's 30-14 win at New Orleans with the new injury.

Atlanta signed safety Sean Baker to the active roster and signed running back Ronnie Wingo to the practice squad Tuesday. Baker appeared in four games for the Falcons early in the season before being waived and re-signed to the practice squad.
