BELLEVILLE, Ill. - Zach Rockers scored a team-high 16 points and made what turned out to be the game-winning basket to lift the Columbia Cougars to a 71-70 victory Saturday against Lindenwood-Belleville in an American Midwest Conference game.
Rockers (Helias High School) grabbed an offensive rebound and converted on the putback to give Columbia a one-point lead with 23 seconds to play in overtime.
The Cougars (10-3, 3-2 AMC) will host Harris-Stowe at 4 p.m. Jan. 1.
