A spiritual Christmas experience captivated many people last Wednesday night when the Eldon Ministerial Alliance held its Tour of Churches.

In its fourth year, a caravan of cars traveled to churches within the city to partake in a night of Christmas performances all while helping raise money.

With eight churches involved this year, the three-hour tour had activities scheduled in approximate 20-minute intervals, leaving 10 minutes in between each church for travel time. Bethany Lutheran Church was the final stop of the Tour where one could enjoy refreshments, fellowship and listen to a choir.

Pete Lange, pastor of Bethany Lutheran Church and president of the Ministerial Alliance, said he was pleased with the turnout. A $10 donation was requested if one wanted to partake in the experience, which would go toward a fundraising goal of $2,500 so the Alliance could receive a matching grant from the Eldon Foundation. The $5,000 would be used for their charitable contributions.

All monies raised by the Eldon Ministerial Alliance will be used throughout the year to help the poor and needy in Eldon and throughout Miller County.
