JC man gets 13 years for selling drugs

A Jefferson City man has been sentenced to 13 years in prison after pleading guilty to one count of selling heroin in or near public housing.

The sentence against Deamon Hogue Jr., 33, of 410 Boonville Road, will run concurrent with time he must serve for violating his probation.

Court documents show the sales occurred between June 1 and the end of July at 12 Jackson St., an apartment complex operated by the Jefferson City Housing Authority.

Hogue had been on probation for two counts of distribution of controlled substances and is considered a persistent drug offender, with three prior convictions for distribution of controlled substances, one in August 2000 and two in March 2013.
