Three more All-America teams for Missouri's Ray

COLUMBIA, Mo. - Missouri defensive end Shane Ray was named Wednesday to the American Football Coaches Association, the Sporting News and the Football Writers Association of America All-America first teams.

The junior from Kansas City is now a consensus first team All-American after landing on four of the five All-American first teams that have been released.

Ray earned first team distinction from the Walter Camp Foundation last week and was an Associated Press All-American second team selection Tuesday.

Ray is Missouri's sixth consensus All-American player under coach Gary Pinkel. The others are Michael Sam (2013), Michael Egnew (2011), Jeremy Maclin (2007, 2008) and Martin Rucker (2007).

Ray reset the Tigers' single-season sack record with 14.0 while also totaling 21 tackles for loss this season. Both figures lead the Southeastern Conference and are the third-most nationally.
