COLUMBIA - The Helias Lady Crusaders rallied late Monday, but fell 40-33 to the Battle Lady Spartans.
A 3-pointer by Ashley Rehagen pulled Helias to within a point at 33-32 with just under two minutes to play. But Battle hit its free throws to close out the victory.
Battle led 15-13 at the half before Helias cut the deficit to one at 27-26 heading into the final quarter.
Luci Francka had eight points to pace Helias (2-2), which will host Rolla on Friday.
Mariah Brisco finished with a game-high 13 points for Battle (5-3).
In Monday night's JV game, Battle edged Helias 36-34.
Erin Wyrick paced the Lady Crusaders with 15 points.
