How many more lies will Obama feed us in his last two years?
We were told that his recent illegal grant of amnesty for illegal aliens, which clearly violated his oath of office, would not provide the illegals with federal benefits. Now according to an article in Dec. 1 News Tribune, "Calif. pushes to expand immigrant health care" we learn that, once again, Obama lied.
According to the second paragraph of the article, "California has its own policy of providing health coverage with state money to low-income immigrants." The article says that it will now provide Obama's illegals with Medi-Cal benefits. Medi-Cal is California's version of Medicaid.
When I read this my first thought was that this was the U.S. at its best. To the greatest extent possible the taxpayers of each state should make decisions on how their state operates. If residents of California choose to provide, and pay for, health care benefits for illegals it should be their choice. Just as residents of other states should have the right to choose whether or not they want to pay for such benefits. We don't need a "one size fits all," nanny state, federal government cramming such policies down our throats. The federal government doesn't have a magic money tree in D.C. It gets its money from the pockets of we taxpayers, the same as state government; or it commits financial child abuse by further indebting all future generations.
When I got to the last sentence of the article, I read, "The federal government is paying for the expansion, but he state will eventually pay 10 percent of additional cost." Is the article misleading or have we been lied to again?
Perhaps Jonathan Gruber, the professor who has received millions from we taxpayers and who has frequently called us stupid because we bought all the Obamacare lies and misdirection, is once again helping Obama spin his health care policies.
