The gradual renovation process at Tolson Drug Store now has made its way to the pharmacy.
Cameron Schulte purchased the downtown Jefferson City drug store in summer 2013 and began making major renovations this fall.
"The pharmacy is our primary focus of the store," Schulte said. "We just need more room."
When completed, the new pharmacy will be nearly three times larger. It will also have a separate consult room where pharmacists can offer services like flu shot in a more private setting. Other improvements include cosmetic considerations such as new counters.
Schulte hopes to have the expansion completed by the end of January. The renovation will be performed in phases, so pharmacy service will not be interrupted.
