Games played on Dec. 13, 2014

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - Devin Booker and Willie Cauley-Stein each scored 15 points, and top-ranked Kentucky shook off the shock of losing junior Alex Poythress by rolling past No. 21 North Carolina 84-70 on Saturday.

Buoyed by Poythress' pregame talk and courtside presence two days after sustaining a season-ending knee injury in practice, the Wildcats (11-0) used their depth and length to post a convincing win over the Tar Heels (6-3).

Kentucky shot 57 percent from the field. Aaron Harrison scored 14 points, and Trey Lyles had nine starting in Poythress' place.

Brice Johnson scored 15 points for the Tar Heels, who won the rebounding battle 31-24 but found little success against the Wildcats' size. Marcus Paige had 14 points.

Kaleb Tarczewski had 15 points and seven rebounds for Arizona, which shot 58 percent to win its 37th straight regular-season nonconference game.

Michigan (6-4) capped off a disappointing week with a dismal performance.

The Wolverines fell into a quick double-digit hole and struggled against Arizona's defense all day, shooting 35 percent for their first three-game losing streak since 2010-11.

Jakob Poeltl's basket with 4:38 left gave Utah a 55-53 lead, but Mason scored on a driving layup moments later. Ellis then swooped through the lane and converted a floater for his only field goal of the second half.

Kansas made six straight free throws down the stretch, including two by Brannen Greene with 13.7 seconds left.

Delon Wright had 23 points for the Utes, who nearly dealt the Jayhawks' the worst blown lead in a loss in school history. Kansas blew a 20-point lead in losing to Arizona in 2003.
