Boys basketball: South Callaway beats Montgomery County

Wins 89-57

MOKANE - Troy Hentges scored 21 points and Logan Taylor scored 18 as the South Callaway Bulldogs defeated Montgomery County on Tuesday, 89-57.

Dax Helsel had 12 points for the Bulldogs, and Harold Woods had 10.

Also for South Callaway, Jacob Smith racked up 12 rebounds in addition to his six points.

South Callaway (3-0) led by 10 after one quarter, 13 after two and 26 after three.

Kyle Kroll led Montgomery County with 21 points, and Chase Parrish scored 18.

South Callaway also won the junior varsity game, 58-53. Kaden Helsel scored 24 points for the Bulldogs (3-0), and Blake Parker scored 16.

South Callaway plays Friday at New Bloomfield.
