OWENSVILLE - The Fatima girls basketball team won its season opener Monday with a 71-57 defeat of Owensville.
Morgan Brandt led the Lady Comets with 24 points. Kate Massman had 11 points and Annie Bock had 10.
Owensville jumped out to a 20-15 lead in the first quarter, but the Lady Comets outscored the Dutchgirls by 10 in the second quarter to lead by five at the half. The Lady Comets extended their lead to 49-42 by the end of the third quarter.
