College Volleyball: WWU Owls split

BELLEVUE, Neb. - The William Woods University Owls dropped the opener of the Bellevue University Tournament against Clarke College in four sets on Friday, but came out on fire in Game 2 as the Owls defeated Bellevue University 26-24, 26-24, 25-23.

It was William Woods' first win against a ranked opponent in program history.

Brittney Engelbrecht (Helias High School) led the Owls with 37 assists and recorded 18 digs in the opener, while Abbi McKnelly (Jefferson City High School) totaled a team-high 12 kills.

Engelbrecht finished with 24 assists in the second game, while McKnelly added seven kills.
