ELMHURST, Ill. - The Westminster College Blue Jays opened up their season with four losses at the Elmhurst Invitational.
Westminster went 0-2 Friday, falling 3-0 to Coe College and Edgewood College. The Blue Jays then lost a pair of matches Saturday, falling 3-1 to Dominican University and Luther College.
"When we put our schedule together, we wanted to challenge ourselves early to see where we stood," Westminster coach Curtis Madson said. "We gained a lot of experience and now know what we need to go back and work on."
Westminster sophomore Amanda Kiso (Blair Oaks High School) put down 25 kills on 51 attempts.
