VIENNA - Vienna defeated Richland 16-3 on Monday.
Maddie Stricklan was the winning pitcher for the Eagles. She pitched three innings, allowing three hits and two walks and striking out two. Annie John pitched the remaining two innings. She struck out one, walked one and allowed no hits.
Stricklan, Megan Wieberg and Courtney Falter each contributed two hits.
The win moves Vienna to 1-1 on the season. The Eagles play next at 6:30 p.m. today at St. James.
