Dear Editor:
I am outraged that a government official like Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder would make comments about the situation in Ferguson that exhibit such racism and ignorance of American history regarding civil rights and systemic, institutionalized discrimination.
He claims that the American justice system is a product of "Anglo-American civilization." So was slavery, Mr. Kinder; so is the current mass incarceration of black men.
The people have risen up to do justice in the streets because your precious system does not do it in the courts.
