Teen bicyclist injured in collision with vehicle

A vehicle and bicycle collided Wednesday afternoon in Jefferson City, leaving a 16-year-old male juvenile with serious injuries.

Police reports show the accident occurred at Woodclift Drive and Southwest Boulevard just after 4:30 p.m.

A vehicle driven by Ashton Stockman, 21, Jefferson City, was making a left turn from Woodclift to travel south on Southwest.

She told officers she did not see the bicyclist traveling north on Southwest.

Stockman made her turn and crossed into the path of the bicycle.

The bicyclist was not able to avoid a collision and hit the driver side of the vehicle.

Stockman was wearing a seat belt and had no reported injuries.

The bicyclist was wearing a proper bicycle helmet.
