The new South Moreau River bridge on Route D in Cole County will open at 6 p.m. on Friday.
MoDOT officials said the new two-lane concrete bridge will increase safety with a wider and smoother driving surface, replacing the old one-lane truss bridge originally constructed in 1956.
Don Schnieders Excavating Company Inc. was the contractor on the $1.025 million project.
