Two accidents leave four injured

Two people were injured in a two-vehicle accident at 4:23 p.m. Wednesday on U.S. 54 at Route J in Callaway County.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2001 Honda Prelude, driven southbound by Travis L. Wilbers, 20, New Bloomfield, failed to slow for a stop sign, went through an intersection and struck a 2009 Acura RDX, driven eastbound by Dawn M. Stilson, 29, Holts Summit. The Wilbers vehicle then went off the road, and the Stilson vehicle overturned.

Wilbers was taken to University Hospital in Columbia. Stilson was taken to St. Mary's Health Center.

Neither were wearing seat belts.

• Two Jefferson City women were injured in a two-car accident at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday on Rainbow Drive at Binder Lake Road in Cole County.

The patrol reported a 2001 Toyota Camry, driven northbound by Jessica H. Ochoa, 30, pulled into the path of a 2006 Saturn Ion, driven eastbound by Sara E. Grieshammer, 18.

Grieshammer, who was not wearing a seat belt, and Ochoa, who was wearing a seat belt, were taken to Capital Regional Medical Center.
