Two Mokane women were injured in a two-vehicle accident at 10:56 a.m. Tuesday on U.S. 54, west of Interstate 70 in Callaway County.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2005 Ford Explorer, driven eastbound by Nicole D. Edwards, 21, Mokane, changed lanes and struck a 2012 GMC Yukon, driven eastbound by Laura A. Menke, 45, Hillsbora, Iowa. The Edwards vehicle then went off the road, overcorrected and returned to the road. The vehicle then went off the right side of the road and overturned.
Edwards and a passenger, Barbra Ballard, 51, Mokane, were taken to University Hospital in Columbia.
Everyone was wearing seat belts.
