MU curators to meet Monday amid new coach search

Speculation centers around hiring of basketball coach

The University of Missouri may have found its new men's basketball head coach.

In a release Friday, the university posted a public meeting notice that a Board of Curators meeting is scheduled 1 p.m. Monday. After the meeting is called to order, it will go into executive session for "consideration of certain confidential or privileged communications with university counsel, negotiated contracts and personnel matters all as authorized by law and upon approval by resolution of the Board of Curators."

The Board of Curators would have to approve the contract for the new head coach.

But if it is about the coaching situation, who is it? According to the Kansas City Star, Central Missouri head coach Kim Anderson said he "has not been offered the Missouri job. Still coaching the Mules."

Missouri is looking for a head coach after Frank Haith resigned earlier this month to take the head coaching position at the University of Tulsa.
