Prep Baseball: Russellville 4, Tuscumbia 2

TUSCUMBIA, Mo. - Ryland Johnson allowed two runs on seven hits and struck out one in five innings to help lead the Russellville Indians to a 4-2 win against the Tuscumbia Lions on Wednesday.

Johnson was also 2-for-4 with a two-run home run to pace Russellville at the plate, while Chase Smith went 3-for-4 and drove in a run for the Indians.

Orrie Patterson was 1-for-2 with a solo home run, while Ben Wilson and Wyatt Ahart were both 2-for-3 to help lead Tuscumbia.

Zane Humphreys was tagged with the loss after allowing four runs while striking out four and walking five in seven innings.

The Lions (7-6) will play at New Bloomfield today.

Russellville (6-8) will play Waynesville in the first round of the Waynesville Tournament on Saturday.

In the JV game, Tuscumbia was a 3-2 winner.
