TUSCUMBIA, Mo. - Zane Humphreys was 4-for-4 with four RBI as the Tuscumbia Lions claimed an 11-1 win against St. Elizabeth in six innings to open up Show-Me Conference play on Tuesday.
Nick Grimwood was 3-for-3, Peyton McDowell was 1-for-2 with two RBI and Wyatt Ahart was 2-for-2 to help lead the Lions, ranked No. 8 in Class 1.
Orrie Patterson earned the complete-game victory, allowing one run on four hits, while striking out six in six innings.
Tuscumbia (7-5, 1-0) will host Russellville today.
The Lions were a 2-1 winner in the JV game.
